Secret Flower Bed

Just a short blog post before I return to school tomorrow and life becomes hectic again.

I thought I would show you my completed cross stitch project that I have been working on over the last week. This design is the Secret Flower Bed by The Trilogy. The original design was stitched in speciality threads but I stitched this version using good old DMC threads.

I have so enjoyed getting back into cross stitching again, it has been far too long. I have another small piece in mind that I would like to start on next and then I really should get back into stitching some of my UFO's (unfinished objects) of which I am embarrassed at how many I have! Just need to send for some more needles before I can start on anything else as my remaining two are not in a good state.

I am not quite sure how I am going to finish this project, I already have a huge box of stitched pieces that are awaiting framing or finishing. I am afraid that I dread the finishing process and am always scared I am going to ruin my stitched piece. I look at other stitcher's finishes and am in awe and just wish I was confident in this process.

One other thing I have been working on this week is designing a blog for a friend of mine who makes the most amazing creations out of paper/card. Here are just a couple of her projects.

If you are interested in paper crafting do go and have a look at her blog (www.craftycastle-14.blogspot.co.uk) and welcome her to Blogland. There will be more posts coming soon on her blog.

Well that is all for now, I have a busy week coming up, back to school and all that entails and DH and I celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary on Tuesday so I probably won't be back until I post my next Five On Friday. Have a great week everyone and see you soon.
